ReaQta recognized as part of Gartner’s Emerging Technologies and Trends Impact Radar: Security in Insurance

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 10 December 2020 – ReaQta, a top-tiered provider of Endpoint Security solutions, today announced that it was recognized as part of Gartner’s Emerging Technologies and Trends Impact Radar1: Security in Insurance as a vendor, in the category of Process, Application and System Behavioural Monitoring (PASBM).

ReaQta was selected under the PASBM category, which refers to the method and use of the operating system (OS) and application instrumentation to extract real-time telemetry about detailed interactions of activities occurring in an OS environment.

Gartner reports that as the insurance industry continues to digitalize and shift towards a remote work culture, the enterprise’s endpoints are exposed to compromises, increasing the frequency of attacks from threat actors. With the growing frequency of ransomware attacks and the discrete infiltration of systems taking place before the attack itself, insurance business can be easily crippled.

Gartner emphasizes the need for such insurance companies to be proactive to stop attacks quickly, so as to limit financial loss and protect a firm against regulatory fines and reputational damages.

Gartner’s research notes the timeliness of PASBM: “Protecting the networks from attack through vulnerabilities left open by remote workers and customers presents a challenge, and PASBM can provide a mechanism to detect early on any infiltration, enabling a rapid response”.

“We are glad that Gartner has selected our technology to highlight the importance of maintaining full visibility over all kinds of threats and infrastructures. In today’s evolving threat landscape, the ability to obtain real-time and accurate risk profiles is critical for insurance businesses to properly assess the posture of a customer from the inside-out, since the vast majority of cyber-attacks begin at the endpoint,”  said Alberto Pelliccione, CEO of ReaQta.

Notably, Gartner recommends that “insurers need to build trust in storing customer data digitally, implement enhanced user behavioral modeling and file integrity monitoring for broader detection of advancing threats and insider threat use cases.”

To cope with these increased challenges, organizations can leverage on ReaQta’s DeStra™ feature to build their own custom application Detection Strategies to reach their compliance goals, which are especially vital across verticals like insurance, banking and finance, which remain driven by compliance mandates.

Named as a 2020 Gartner Cool Vendor, ReaQta is differentiated by its proprietary NanoOS™ technology that allows for real-time monitoring at the hypervisor layer, granting security analysts deeper visibility into endpoint activity while remaining invisible to attackers.
