Greetings from the team at ReaQta! We’re a small band of folks who work on an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platform named ReaQta-Hive.
ReaQta recently joined IBM Security, and we are thrilled to now form a part of QRadar XDR. Accordingly, we are looking for talented new colleagues to help us build out our dashboard. If you’re a full-stack web developer who values clear communication and the so-called “beginner’s mind”, we’d love to talk to you about joining the team. The ReaQta dashboard team manages a big-ish React UI and a small-ish Express.js backend.
We want to work with people who will help us uncover ever-more-useful patterns as we improve and expand our beloved codebase. Our dashboard is used by security professionals to triage, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity in real-time, while also providing top-level insight into our customers’ security posture.
Our job is to organize and leverage the massive amount of information we have available to us, and to do so in a way that keeps our end-users productive and our customers safe.
The coming year will be pretty exciting. As a full stack developer on our team, you can expect a healthy amount of new feature work, as ReaQta enhances its platform to remain one of the most innovative and effective EDR solutions on the market. In addition to new features, we will also tackle some interesting optimization and architectural problems as we scale our product to protect increasingly larger customers.
Finally, on top of all of that, we want to keep debt to a minimum, so that our new teammates can get productive quickly and painlessly. We are continuously migrating existing code to Typescript, and making small improvements wherever possible. (After all, a small improvement is better than no improvement, and often it’s the little things that make a big difference!)
We like people who put a lot of thought and attention into how they communicate. We also like people who can turn feedback into a starting point for creative conversations. But perhaps most of all, we like people who ask lots of clarifying questions to better understand the problem or task at hand. (Of course, we try to create an environment that’s conducive to such questions.)
In general, we keep an open mind to new technologies and processes, and we are especially amenable to hiring people without much direct experience in the technologies we use. Case in point: One of our engineers came in without any React experience, even though that’s how we write our view layer!
Our team orients itself around principles of empathy, flexibility, clear communication, and continuous learning. If working with us sounds nice, let’s talk.
